The story behind the print
I carved this rooster while staying in a hotel in Atlanta, Georgia.
I'd begun traveling around the country for my work in live events the previous year. On this particular trip, I found myself missing my sister and her little farm in Connecticut, complete with ducks and chickens.
Linocut had become my traveling art studio. I could pack my carving tools and materials into my suitcase and continue making things wherever work took me.
The rooster's first appearance was actually on a T-shirt. I printed it in my hotel room, let it dry for three days, and wore it home on the plane.
